President Joe Biden is under fire after he referred to Marylands first Black Governor, Wes Moore as boy during a speech congratulating him.

RadarOnline.com reported that the President is taking a lot of heat for his comments about Moore.

The remarks came as Biden spoke in front of a room of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union workers in Lanham, Maryland. It was a surprising remark that many people were caught off guard by. Some in the room said that they were concerned that the President made these comments without realizing the insensitive nature that such comments and words can have in this context.

RadarOnline.com reports that the President said the following: You got a hell of a new governor in Wes Moore, I tell ya, and Hes the real deal, and the boy looked like he could still play. He got some guns on him.

Moore won the race to become the next governor of Maryland in November to become the states first Black governor. However, it doesnt seem like the President was aware of how bad it was that he called this historical figure a boy.

Wes Moore was previously known for having played for Marylands Johns Hopkins University football team in 1998, and now he is the state governor.

This is not the first time Biden has come under fire for using the word boy when referring to a Black person.

In 2019, Senator Cory Booker went after Biden for using the term boy when referring to former Mississippi Senator James Eastland, who is Black. He wanted to point out that Biden uses these insensitive terms when referring to Black people, and he doesnt seem to be aware that he is being as insensitive and rude as he is.

Senator Booker responded with the following about Biden at the time: You dont joke about calling black men boys,.

It doesnt seem like the President has learned his lesson now.
