In a shocking incident that unfolded in Washington state, five members of a single family were discovered dead in their home on Sunday, in what authorities believe to be a case of murder-suicide.

The grim discovery was made after a concerned individual, who had received a disturbing text message from one of the family members stating they had "harmed others," alerted the police.

The Clark County Sheriff's deputies were summoned to the family's residence in northeast Vancouver around 1 p.m. on Sunday, following a request for a welfare check.

The individual who had contacted the police, whose identity remains undisclosed, reported receiving a text message from a family member indicating harm had been inflicted on others within the home, as reported by KPTV.

Upon arrival, the deputies were unable to establish contact with anyone inside the house, prompting them to call for reinforcement from a tactical team. Utilizing a drone, the deputies were able to ascertain that several individuals inside the home were likely deceased.

The tactical teams, accompanied by emergency medics, subsequently forced entry into the house, where they discovered the bodies of five people, all fatally shot.

According to the deputies, the deaths bore the hallmarks of a murder-suicide, with the suspected perpetrator found dead alongside their four relatives.

The Clark County Sheriff's deputies have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the wider community in the wake of this tragic incident. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released by the officials.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office, when contacted by The Post for a comment on the incident, did not immediately respond. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the hidden turmoil that can exist behind closed doors, even within seemingly ordinary families.
