Far-right member of the House of Representatives Majorie Taylor Greene is taking shots at former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley after she announced her intent to run for President in 2024.
Fox News reports that Greene called Haley Bush in high heels and has made other divisive remarks about the former ambassadors entrance into the primary.
Greene issued the following thoughts via Twitter:
She is weak on the border, doesnt want a wall, claimed legal immigrants are more patriotic than most Americans these days, and she defended Obama when Pres. Trump criticized his terrible open-borders policy, and And Nikki Haley refused to support transgender bathroom bill to protect children.
Majorie Taylor Greene, aka MTG, is a well-known supporter of Donald Trump and is backing him in the 2024 race. Therefore, it is not the most surprising thing in the world that MTG is throwing her support behind the former President.
MTG continued to paint Haley as the candidate representing everything the party had tried before and failed with. She wants to make it clear that she does not support Haley in any way, and she feels that support for Haley by the party might be setting it up for another loss on Election Day.
Nikki Haley is the first major candidate to announce a run in the primaries against former President Trump. Some Trump supporters worry that Haley is native to South Carolina and served as the governor there and that she might have some advantages when the primary season moves to that state. South Carolina is traditionally the third state on the primary calendar, behind only Iowa and New Hampshire. This could give Haley a big delegate boost early in the race if she can capitalize on being from the state.
There is still a lot to be determined about this race, and it is far too early to draw any conclusions, but some from all camps are concerned about how this primary might play out. It all depends on the nature of the primary and how it unfolds.
