Watch The Battle Of The View Hosts: No One Is Safe From The Wrath Of Whoopi....

"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg slammed host Sunny Hostin Thursday after she claimed that her ancestors didn't get slave reparations.

Goldberg supported reparations for slaves for African-Americans. She presumably referred to Special Field Order 15 on January 12, 1865, signed by General. William T. Sherman. The order, which was signed after an event with 20 ministers of black who met in Savannah, Georgia, was meant to grant freed slaves an area of fewer than 40 acres. That's why they used the expression "40 acres and a mule."

"You all got 40 acres and a mule, because we didn't get none," Hostin declared.

"Well, you didn't do what my people did," Goldberg stated. "Well maybe that's because your people didn't come and sit on the front and say we're not moving until you give us what we're owed. They weren't really looking for you, but they were looking for my folks and my folks got it and that's because that's what was promised. We pay reparations to many different groups in this country and have, and the idea that you would want us to pretend that we don't owe some folks something is ridiculous."

Hostin is half-African on her father's side and half-Puerto Rican on her mother's side. Goldberg identified her roots to two tribes within the African state of Guinea Bissau by DNA tests, according to International Biosciences.

Hostin earlier complained about users on social media calling her racist for promoting reparations during an October 10 episode which was on Columbus Day. Goldberg shared Hostin's views about reparations and said that they'd been given in the past to pay for mistakes.

Hostin remarked, Its really a power dynamic, its not just about the color of your skin and I think when you talk about those who committed crimes owe reparations, those are the people the atrocities of slavery, who stole land, who killed indigenous people.
