The recent surge in advocacy for alternative protein sources, such as insect-based burgers or lab-grown meat substitutes, has been met with skepticism and resistance.
This push, driven by climate change concerns, has even led Ireland to contemplate the culling of 200,000 cows to meet its environmental targets.
However, the environmental argument for these alternatives is being challenged. Recent research indicates that lab-grown meat could be up to 25 times more detrimental to the environment than traditional beef production. Despite the lack of extensive coverage in the mainstream media, this information has been gaining traction due to the efforts of those advocating for transparency.
Dr. Joseph Mercola, a prominent figure in this debate, recently stated, "While the fake meat industry is being touted as an environmentally friendly and sustainable way to feed the world, the true intent is to recreate the kind of global control that Monsanto and others achieved through patented GMO seed development. In the end, lab-created meats are worse for the environment than livestock and will undoubtedly deteriorate human health to boot, just like GMO grains have."
Dr. Mercola further elaborated on the environmental impact of cultured meat, stating, "Each kilo of cultured meat produces anywhere from 542 pounds (246 kilos) to 3,325 pounds (1,508 kg) of carbon dioxide emissions, making the climate impact of cultured meat four to 25 times greater than that of conventional beef.
Jason Nelson, CEO of freeze-dried food company Whole Cows, is also a vocal critic of this shift. He anticipates a systematic removal of beef cattle from the American food supply, driven by various factors, including the climate change argument.
Nelson stated, "They prey on the ignorance of the average mainstream media watcher who nods along as theyre being told cow farts will kill them. Its patently ludicrous but they need something shocking in order to get people to comply when they try to outlaw real meat. And they will. Theyre already trying to do it.
Nelson further expressed his firm stance against the replacement of real beef with lab-grown alternatives, stating, "The day will come when theyll ask my company to replace our real beef from all-American cows with their version of bovine protein. Ive already told everyone who works for me that well shut it down before we freeze dry a single sliver of lab-grown fake meat.
Both Dr. Mercola and Nelson argue that the climate change argument is a pretext for exerting control over the populace. As Henry Kissinger famously said, Who controls the food supply controls the people.
The demonization of cows as contributors to climate change is seen as a strategic move to limit beef consumption. Several cities, predominantly governed by Democrats, are considering restrictions on beef sales and consumption.
Nelson added, This isnt just some ideological crusade. We launched this company last year because we saw the writing on the wall and knew theyd try to make Americans eat bugs or pseudo-meat or something worse. I didnt serve this nation to then watch it implode over bald-faced lies.
Nelson, a former member of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines, resigned in 2021 due to the Covid-19 vaccine mandate. He then ran for Congress against Pete Sessions in 2022, but lost in the primaries.
Were proud of our product, he said. As far as we know were the only company in America that offers freeze dried Ribeye, NY Strip, Tenderloin, and Sirloin thats shelf-stable for over a decade. Other prepper food companies sell beef crumbles and cow scraps they buy for cheap that barely passes as food. Id almost rather eat bugs. Almost.
