President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, were seen participating in a Thanksgiving tradition known as the "polar bear plunge."

The event, which involves taking a chilly dip in the water, was captured in a photo shared by Hunter Biden's daughter, Naomi Biden, on Twitter. The picture shows the Biden family, including the president, braving the cold waters together.

This gathering comes after Hunter Biden joined his father for a vacation in August at the home of billionaire Democratic donor Tom Steyer in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. However, Hunter Biden has been facing legal troubles of his own. In September, he was indicted on three federal gun charges and pleaded not guilty to the offenses in October. If convicted, he could face up to 25 years in prison.

Furthermore, Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings have been under scrutiny as part of the House impeachment inquiry into President Biden. The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Hunter Biden and his uncle, James Biden, to appear for a deposition next month. While James Biden has indicated his willingness to cooperate with the investigation, the White House has strongly protested the subpoenas for Biden family members and administration officials.

In addition to the subpoenas, the House Oversight Committee has also issued subpoenas for multiple former business associates of Hunter Biden and individuals involved in his art transactions. According to a House memo from September, the Biden family and its business associates received over $24 million from foreign sources. Notably, Hunter Biden earned more than $80,000 per month as a board member of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings, as revealed by bank records.

Meanwhile, Hunter Biden's taxes are currently under investigation by special counsel David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware. Weiss is reportedly working with a California grand jury and has subpoenaed James Biden as part of the ongoing investigation.
