Milei, a newcomer to Argentinian politics and self-proclaimed "anarcho-capitalist," secured a decisive win over Economy Minister Sergio Massa, garnering 55.7 percent of the vote compared to Massa's 44.3 percent. This victory signifies a rightward shift for Argentina, with Milei emerging triumphant in all but three of the country's provinces.
The White House readout further highlighted the discussion between President Biden and President-elect Milei, emphasizing the need to build upon the existing strong ties between their nations.
