CNN is dealing with another scandal just one year after they were rocked by Jeff Zucker resigning after discovering that he had a relationship with top executive Allison Gollust.
Now Page Six is reporting that Jake Tappers executive producer, Federico Quadrani, is being kicked out of the network after it became clear that he might be having a relationship with a subordinate, according to sources that Page Six trusts to work on these types of stories. The news is spreading on CNN, and one source said it is about to get out to the public.
Another source with Page Six said the following: There were some complaints. No one had proof, and these things are hard to prove. Jake was aware of the investigation.
The rumor is that Tapper has been presented with information that he cannot ignore or pretend doesnt exist. Instead, it is said that he is going to have to respond. However, this has yet to be public, so it remains a rumor.
The second source said the following about the situation: Jake was made aware of it and acted quickly. Someone discovered something accidentally, and brought it to Tapper. He delivered it to [human resources], and they were terminated.
A CNN spokesperson was asked to comment on this story, but they said they would not respond to personal issues and matters.
Quadrani joined Tappers show coming from MSNBC in 2013. He had previously worked on the Today show between 2003 and 2009. He was also on ABCs Good Morning America from 1998 to 2003.
NBC appeared to have very high opinions of Quadrani, who was known as a golden boy.
However, there are some rumors that Quadrani might be out. It still needs to be officially confirmed by the network, but sources close to the situation have spoken with Page Six and made it clear that they feel it is only a matter of time until the news comes out.
