Today, President Biden had an appointment for his annual physical, and a previous physician for President Barack Obama is doubtful about the well-being of the 80-year-old Head Of State.
During an interview with the Washington Examiner, Dr. David Scheiner suggested that, even if Biden is in good health at the beginning of 2023, this may not be the case by the end of a potential second term if he is re-elected in 2024.
Scheiner expressed, "I dont care if hes in perfect health now which, I cant believe hes in perfect health. Hes had too many things in his past history."
Scheiner specifically mentioned the aneurysms Biden encountered, for which he had to undergo surgeries in 1988.
Scheiner commented that, during any work on the brain, some damage is inevitable.
The physician noted Biden's atrial fibrillation, which "can sometimes throw off small strokes. Theyre leaving a whole area of concern in my mind," Scheiner concluded.
According to a report from November 2021, the neurological examination of President Biden did not indicate any signs of a stroke or any other neurological or cerebellar issues. Dr. Neal Kassell, who operated on Biden in 1988, told Politico in 2019 that "with absolute certainty that he had no brain damage."
The doctor noted that the President has aged noticeably since his time in the White House under Obama.
Observing Joe Biden's current state, Scheiner noticed that the president seems to have aged significantly. "It worries me that he is aging. If I look at him, hes not a young 80." It is specifically noticeable in the Presidents walking ability.
"The gait is not an insignificant factor," Scheiner added, it allows for "a peek into the whole physical, mental capability of a person."
In the report following his November 2021 physical, the issue of President Biden's gait was closely examined. White House doctor Kevin O'Connor noted that Biden's "ambulatory gait is perceptibly stiffer and less fluid"than it was twelve months before. O'Connor attributed this to arthritic issues of the spine and his recuperation from a broken foot, but a neurological assessment revealed "mild peripheral neuropathy."
When Fox News Digital asked for a comment, White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates quoted a New York Times article from November 2022 concerning the President's health.
"The New York Times spoke to 10 experts in aging to paint a picture of what the next six years might look like for a person of the presidents age. These experts have not examined or treated Mr. Biden, though they have looked at publicly available information, including a medical report issued by the White House last year, a day before his 79th birthday. Mr. Biden, these experts agreed, has a lot going in his favor."
Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, declared Tuesday that the public will be provided with the results of the physical. "We want to be transparent, want to make sure you have the information," she said.
Despite this, Scheiner has doubts that there will be genuine openness.
"Youre not going to learn anything," he says. "They sugarcoat these things."
