The latest Fast X movie might have some punchy political undertones to it.
At least, that is what Fox News is reporting that Vin Diesel is hinting at as he tries to tip his hand just a little about this latest movie. Fox reports that Diesel was at the reveal of the Fast X trailer and that this film will allegedly be the end of the Fast series.
Diesel had an interview that he gave to Variety, and he stated the following about it:
Without telling you too much about what happens in the future, theres a character who is the antithesis of Dom who is promoting AI and driverless cars and a philosophy that with that goes your freedom.
He also said:
There is somebody that believes thats the future, and thats at direct odds with the Toretto mentality.
This could be an exciting twist in the series and allow the series to send out a political message about where the future of automobiles is going.
There is a lot of chatter now about what this film will be like and what it will mean for the message it is trying to put out to the audience.
Downey has played the role of a tech giant in the Marvel cinematic universe. This will give him what he needs to play his role in Fast X as it comes up.
Interestingly, Elon Musk fans often compare him to Stark because of his involvement with SpaceX and Tesla. He made a brief cameo in Iron Man 2, perhaps because of those tie-ins. He has heavily invested in self-driving vehicle technology. That is important for creating the storyline that self-driving cars will not have the upsides that so many backers have tried to claim that they will.
