In a recent incident that has sparked outrage online, a group of adults and children were caught on camera emptying an entire bowl of Halloween candy.

The incident was captured on the home security footage of Cody Tate, a member of the country band Whiskey Myers, who shared the video on his Instagram page.

The video, which has amassed nearly 340,000 views at the time of writing, shows the group of adults, led by three women, brazenly taking all the candy from the bowl that Tate had left outside his Texas home for trick-or-treaters. The women are seen filling their bags with the candy, while also handing out treats to the children with them. One woman even stuffs candy into her hooded sweatshirt, briefly glancing at the camera before continuing her spree.

The children also participate in the candy raid, followed by a man who arrives later and helps himself to the treats. As the group prepares to leave, they scoop up any candy that had fallen to the ground, with the man making a final check to ensure no candy is left behind.

Tate expressed his disappointment in the caption of the video, stating, "And this is why you cant trust people." He also urged his followers to share the video in hopes of identifying the culprits, adding, "I figured it would happen but not adults. Now all the kids after these people cant have any candy."

Prior to the incident, Tate had posted a picture of the candy-filled bowl with a sign on his front door that read, "Please take 1, Happy Halloween!! Go Rangers!!"

The blatant disregard for this request by the group led to an outpouring of criticism from Instagram users, with one commenter noting, "Unbelievable. No care for the children who will come after them and find it empty."

However, the night did not end on a sour note. Tate later shared a video of a neighbor refilling the candy bowl, captioning it, "There are still good people out there! Neighbor Scott for Halloween MVP!"
