According to a recent report, left-leaning billionaire George Soros has been identified as a significant financial backer of organizations supporting pro-Hamas rallies.
Since 2016, Soros's Open Society Foundations have reportedly donated over $15 million to such groups.
The New York Post reports that $13.7 million of this funding was channeled to The Tides Center, a left-wing activist organization. The Tides Center is known to sponsor several groups that have defended the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.
Among the beneficiaries of The Tides Center's sponsorship is the Adalah Justice Project. This organization recently posted an Instagram image of the attack, where a bulldozer was seen demolishing a border fence. The caption read, "Israeli colonizers believed they could indefinitely trap two million people in an open-air prison."
The post stated, "No cage goes unchallenged. Since then, the Adalah Justice Project has been advocating for a "cease fire" and staged a sit-in at the office of Democratic Representative Ro Khanna.
The report also highlights that The Tides Center donated $30,000 to Desis Rising Up and Moving, a group that co-sponsored a protest in New York City's Bryant Park, resulting in the arrest of 139 individuals.
Other pro-Palestinian groups funded by Soros include Jewish Voice for Peace and If Not Now, which received $650,000 and $400,000, respectively. The Arab American Association of New York, which assisted with a protest in Bay Ridge Brooklyn titled "Flood Brooklyn for Palestine," saw protestors clash with police and chant the Hamas slogan, "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!"
In a letter addressed to George and Alex Soros, obtained by The Daily Wire, Vice President Dan Schneider of the MRC watchdog group stated, "As the leaders of one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world, we are sure you are aware of President Joe Bidens statement condemning the recent terror attacks against Israel and its people."
Schneider reminded the Soros father-son duo of Biden's assertion to Jewish leaders that "Silence is complicity." He then criticized their silence on the issue, stating, "In light of all of this, your silence is deafening."
Schneider listed several organizations that receive funding from Soros and said, "Given that your donations have gone straight into the bloodstream of those who seek to exterminate Jews and push Israel into the sea, it is clear that you have an even greater duty to purge yourselves of your transgressions." He urged them to disclose their pro-Hamas grantees, publicly disavow them, terminate all funding, reclaim previous donations, and end their war on Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.
In June, George Soros transferred his $25 billion empire to his left-leaning son Alex, who is now the acting chairman of the Open Society Foundations. Alex has pledged to be even "more political" than his father.
