The House Oversight Committee has unveiled fresh details regarding the Biden family's business activities, with recently acquired banking records indicating a personal check of $200,000 from James Biden to his brother, Joe Biden.
The check, dated March 1, 2018, was marked as a "loan repayment." Interestingly, this transaction coincided with the day Americore, a now-defunct rural hospital operator, transferred a $200,000 loan into James and Sara Biden's personal bank account, not their business account.
Committee Chairman James Comer disclosed that James Biden had received a total of $600,000 in loans from Americore in 2018. Bankruptcy court documents suggest that James Biden secured these loans from Americore by leveraging his surname, 'Biden,' which he claimed could 'open doors.' He also purportedly promised to secure a substantial investment from the Middle East, citing his political connections.
Comer expressed concern over the transaction, stating, "James Biden wrote this check to Joe Biden as a 'loan repayment.' Americorea distressed companyloaned money to James Biden who then sent it to Joe Biden. Even if this was a personal loan repayment, its still troubling that Joe Bidens ability to be paid back by his brother depended on the success of his familys shady financial dealings."
The Chairman demanded clarification on whether Biden possesses documents proving that he had lent a significant sum to his brother, whether he had similar arrangements with other family members, and if Biden was aware that on the same day he received the check, his brother received an identical amount from Americore.
In a conversation with Fox News, Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene labeled the situation as a "classic example of money laundering." She stated, "James Biden wrote this personal check from his personal bank account to his brother Joe Biden on the same day that $200,000 went from Americore, "a failing company that managed rural hospitals," wrote the same amount to go James Biden.
"Democrats have DEMANDED evidence of Biden Crime Family money going directly to Joe Biden's bank account. Here it is," Greene wrote on X.
