Republican Rep. Proposes BOLD Bill, And Ruffles MANY Feathers In The Process

Republican Representative Rich McCormick of Georgia has introduced a bill that proposes using Russian assets to reimburse the United States for Ukraine-related spending.

The bill also suggests using any remaining funds to provide additional assistance to Ukraine. According to a copy of the bill obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation, the United States and its allies have already seized approximately $330 billion in funds related to Russian oligarchs or the Moscow bank.

The bill argues that any assets under the jurisdiction of the United States government should be seized and used to reimburse the country, provide equipment and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and support reconstruction efforts after the war.

Representative McCormick emphasized the seriousness of the Russian threat and the punitive nature of the bill. He stated that the proposed legislation demonstrates a commitment to doing the right thing while avoiding an increase in national debt.

By utilizing frozen assets, the bill aims to counter Russian aggression by purchasing munitions and weaponry directly. McCormick criticized President Joe Biden's inability to make a convincing case for supporting Ukraine, stating that it falls upon Congress to take action.

"In fact, it just makes me have to step up and do his job for him," McCormick said, as reported by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
