VP Kamala Harris' Supporters Rally Against Critics, Slamming Disrespect And Sabotage Claims

In the face of ongoing criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris, her supporters are expressing their discontent.

Laphonza Butler, the incoming California Senator, recently voiced her frustration in an interview with the New York Times, stating that critics should "cut the bulls--t."

Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat from California, appointed Butler to fill the seat left vacant by the late Senator Dianne Feinstein. Butler, who has also served as an advisor to Harris, expressed her disapproval of the criticism directed at the Vice President. "Its disrespectful," she stated in the Times interview.

"And the thing that makes it more disrespectful is that were talking about a historic V.P. who has been a high-quality partner and asset to the country at a time when everything is at stake. Right now is the time to respect what shes done and what she brings."

LaTosha Brown, the founder of Black Voters Matter, shared her belief with the Times that there are individuals within the Democratic party and the White House who do not wish to see Harris succeed. "I think there have been saboteurs within the administration," she stated. "I think that they are worried about the age contrast. And they are worried about Kamala outshining Biden."

Prominent Democrats, including former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, have seemingly evaded questions regarding Harris' suitability as Biden's running mate.

In an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, Pelosi defended Harris' role, stating, "Shes the Vice President of the United States. And when people say to me, well, why isnt she doing this or that? I say, Because shes the vice president. Thats the job description. You dont do that much,"

Warren initially hesitated to endorse Harris as Biden's running mate, stating in an interview, "I really want to defer to what makes Biden comfortable on his team," However, she later clarified her position and confirmed her support for the Biden-Harris ticket.

Despite the support from these key figures, a poll conducted by NBC News in June revealed that Harris has the lowest net-negative rating of modern Vice Presidents in the history of their polling.

This indicates a significant level of dissatisfaction among the public, further fueling the ongoing debate about her performance and role within the administration.
