Former Israeli Counter-Terrorism Adviser Compares Hamas Invasion To Nazi Atrocities

Hamas's recent invasion of Israel and their indiscriminate killing of Jews has drawn comparisons to the tactics employed by Nazi mobile killing units, according to Yigal Carmon, a former counter-terrorism adviser to multiple Israeli prime ministers.

In an interview with the Times of Israel, Carmon stated, "The assault from Gaza was, rather, reminiscent of the Einsatzgruppen [mobile killing squads]. That is what Hamas did on Saturday: they slaughtered families, they slaughtered young people at a party. Wherever they found Jews, they murdered them."

The invasion, which occurred on Saturday, has resulted in the deaths of at least 900 Israelis, with Hamas also taking over 100 soldiers and civilians hostage, as reported by ABC News. In a chilling threat, Hamas has warned that they will execute the hostages if Israel continues its strikes on Gaza.

Carmon further revealed that there were signs of an escalation leading up to the invasion, but Israel was caught off guard. "We did not need cameras, nor cyber, to see it coming. It would have sufficed to look at our reckless policy for the past decade with regards to Hamas," he explained.

Former Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett echoed Carmon's sentiments, describing the situation as "a Nazi conception." The severity of the attack was also highlighted by Eugene Kontorvitch, a George Mason international law professor, who referred to it as "the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust."

In addition to the invasion from Gaza, terrorists have infiltrated Israel from Lebanon, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
