Watch: New Poll Shows Majority Of Canadians Agree Their "Country Is Broken"

A recent poll of Canadians finds that a vast majority of the population says they feel their country is broken.

Breitbart reports that a poll by Postmedia-Leger shows that 67% of Canadians agreed with the statement that their country is broken. This comes amid fears throughout the country about rising housing costs, rising food costs, and concerns about the healthcare system in Canada.

Andrew Enns, an executive vice-president at Leger's market research company, conducted the poll and spoke with the National Review about it, stating: "I didn't think it would be that high. I thought maybe it was more a noisy minority as opposed to a prevailing majority opinion."

He added the following about what the poll showed:

"If you're in government, regardless of what level federal, provincial, or municipal these are your customers, the general population. They all interact with you in some form or fashion, and these are their opinions. And they're basically saying we don't like how business is running right now."

The poll also showed that 50 percent of Canadians feel angry about how the country is being handled. That compares to 42 percent that says they are happy with the management of their country. Only 4 percent in the poll said that they were pleased.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been the target of much of the anger in the country. He fully insists that the country is not broken, but he was recently met by a large group of protestors when he went to Hamilton, Ontario. The protestors shouted at him and said he was a traitor and a tyrant.

The western province of Alberta is said to be among the angriest in the poll. In that poll, those in the western province of Alberta found that 30 percent who lived there stated that they were "very angry" about the country's direction.

Breitbart reports that among the issues that the poll found people were most angry about were rising food and housing costs. A record number of Canadians have been turning to food banks to feed themselves. This is something that will cause people to become angry in a hurry. The scary thing is that the high food prices and other concerns have remained elevated for a significant time. Thus, the anger numbers seen in recent polls like this might not be going away anytime soon.
