Savage Act Of Horror: Alabama Teen Sentenced To Life Without Parole For Brutal Slaying Of Five Family Members, Including Young Siblings

An Alabama judge has handed down a life sentence without parole to 18-year-old Mason Sisk for the brutal murder of five family members, including three younger siblings.

The crime was committed when Mason was just 14 years old.

Circuit Judge Chadwick Wise made the decision to impose the harshest punishment possible, deeming the crime "ghastly, disturbing, and draped in unmitigated evil."

Mason was convicted by a jury in April on multiple counts of capital murder for the 2019 shooting of his family. The victims, John Wayne Sisk, 38, Mary Sisk, 35, Kane, 6, Aurora, 4, and six-month-old Colson, were all found dead in their Elkmont home on September 2, 2019. Mason had shot each of them in the head.

Initially, Mason claimed to authorities that he was playing video games in the basement when the incident occurred. He alleged that he heard gunshots and saw a vehicle driving away when he ran outside. However, after further investigation, Mason confessed to being the perpetrator of the heinous crime.

The Supreme Court has ruled that life sentences for individuals who commit crimes before the age of 18 should be reserved for the most exceptional cases. Judge Wise determined that this was one of those rare cases and sentenced Mason to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Upon hearing his sentencing, Mason displayed no reaction, according to WHNT.
