In a recent sting operation in Hastings, Nebraska, a trans-identified individual, Christopher Carey, 23, was apprehended for allegedly attempting to solicit sex from a person he believed to be a minor.
The operation was conducted by Turning Point USA Frontlines reporter Kalen D'Almedia and his team over a six-month period.
Carey, under the impression that he was interacting online with a 12-year-old girl named "Allie" from Lincoln, Nebraska, allegedly expressed his intentions to engage in sexual activities with the minor. According to TPUSA Frontlines, the discussions included topics such as his penis size, cuddling, and making out. Carey also allegedly requested the minor to travel to a secluded location for a private rendezvous.
Furthermore, Carey allegedly asked the minor to purchase thousands of dollars worth of feminine items for him, including bikinis, dresses, high heels, perfume, makeup, and Victoria's Secret lingerie.
The sting operation culminated in a confrontation inside a Walmart store, where D'Almedia approached Carey. Video footage shows Carey fleeing the scene, crashing his vehicle into an elderly couple's car in the process.
"Oh my God! I'm just trying to have fun here," Carey said to D'Almedia when first questioned about "Allie." "I am not going to jail. I hope not," he added.
When D'Almedia questioned Carey about his online interactions with the minor, Carey falsely claimed that he had ceased communications with "Allie" after discovering her age. However, evidence provided by TPUSA Frontlines contradicts this claim, revealing that Carey had continued to exchange voice messages with "Allie" discussing explicit sexual activities.
After D'Almedia presented the evidence, Carey fled the store, shouting racial slurs. "Leave me alone!" Carey yelled. "Leave me f-cking alone. Leave me alone n-gga!"
Carey was later confronted by the TPUSA Frontlines crew at a local Subway sandwich shop. During this encounter, D'Almedia questioned Carey about his comments to the minor, where he had stated that "Allie" would have to keep their "relationship a secret" until she was 19 years old. Carey admitted to D'Almedia that he "should have blocked her" before police officers arrived at the location.
In a statement to The Post Millennial, D'Almedia said, "I'd just like to say that the reason we're doing this is because we believe in doing our part to protect children in our communities. There is no shortage of agendas and people who seek to harm children, and this is how we're fighting back."
"We hope this case sets a new precedent for case law in Nebraska regarding child safety in these situations," he continued. "The Adams County Attorney's office has yet to assign a prosecutor to the case and Carey is still roaming free."
D'Almedia reported that officers did not take Carey into custody but only cited him for the hit-and-run incident in the Walmart parking lot. The Hastings Police Department has requested the TPUSA Frontlines crew to submit their evidence for review.
