Renowned Russian talk show host, Vladimir Solovyov, known for his dissemination of state-sponsored propaganda, has issued a public warning to Tucker Carlson, the popular American journalist and television personality.
Solovyov claims that Carlson's days may be numbered, not due to any Russian threat, but rather from the American establishment. This comes after Carlson made a bold prediction that the United States would be at war with Russia before the end of 2024 during an interview with Adam Corolla on his podcast.
Solovyov, speaking on his show "The Evening With Vladimir Solovyov," responded to Carlson's prediction by stating, "Who says that? A dead man walking!" He further explained that Carlson sincerely believes that after facing accusations and impeachment, the next step would be an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Solovyov went on to assert that Carlson, as the most popular English-speaking journalist, has essentially signed his own death warrant.
The Russian talk show host did not stop there, suggesting that Carlson's life may be in danger during his travels. Solovyov predicted that Carlson could face an air crash, a car accident, or even an unexpected health issue. He advised Carlson to keep his travel routes secret if he were in his place.
Solovyov also criticized Carlson's desire to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin and share the footage on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. He claimed that Carlson would not be forgiven for attempting to interview Putin and posting it on a platform with no censorship.
While Solovyov did not specify who exactly "they" are, Carlson has a history of calling out individuals from various political backgrounds. Solovyov's warning was supported by Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of RT, a Russian state-funded media outlet. Simonyan expressed her desire for the interview between Carlson and Putin to take place.
Carlson has not publicly confirmed his reported interest in interviewing Putin, and he did not respond to Newsweek's request for comment on the matter.
Solovyov, who claims to believe in Carlson's prediction, stated that a global hot war is imminent and inevitable, as it benefits everyone. He referred to these times as the "end times," alluding to biblical eschatology.
