Martha Stewart faced significant criticism on social media after she shared a post revealing that she had used a piece of iceberg as a cocktail garnish during her vacation cruise in Greenland.

The lifestyle entrepreneur uploaded pictures of her trip on Instagram, showing her happily sipping a cocktail with ice sourced from an iceberg.

In her post, Stewart wrote, "End of the first zodiac cruise from @swanhelleniccruises into a very beautiful fjord on the east coast of Greenland. We actually captured a small iceberg for our cocktails tonight."

Despite the vastness of the Greenland ice sheet, which contains over 2.9 million cubic kilometers of ice, some individuals on social media criticized the 82-year-old for using such a minuscule amount of ice for her drink.

One person commented, "I generally love Martha and the extravagance of her life because she's all about beautiful gardens, homes, and food. However, wealthy white people drinking their iceberg cocktails while the planet is in flames is a bit tone-deaf."

Another person expressed their frustration, saying, "Global warming and melting ice caps, but we need glacier ice for cocktails?! Talk about tone-deaf. I've been a fan for years, but seeing all this luxury while I struggle to buy groceries is enough for me to opt-out."

Another critic wrote, "Martha, the ice caps are melting. Don't put them in your drink."

One response to Stewart's post read, "So as the climate warms due to the profits of a couple thousand people, billionaires vacation to the melting icebergs, scoop them up, and use them to keep their cocktails cold. That sounds like a line from a dystopian novel. Can't make this s*** up, lol."

Stewart has yet to respond to requests for comment regarding the online backlash she received for her choice of cocktail ice.
