Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has officially withdrawn from the 2024 presidential race, becoming the first Republican contender to terminate his candidacy.

Despite polling at around 0.2 percent, Suarez expressed gratitude for the opportunity to run for the highest office in the land. In a statement released on Tuesday, he stated, "Running for President of the United States has been one of the greatest honors of my life. This country has given so much to my family and me. The prospect of giving back at the highest levels of public service is a motivator if not a calling."

Throughout his campaign, Suarez had the chance to connect with numerous freedom-loving Americans who share his passion for the nation's future. He acknowledged the privilege of coming close to appearing on stage with the other candidates at last week's first debate.

Although he will no longer be in the race, Suarez expressed his hope that the future president, whoever it may be, will prioritize the revitalization of America's cities. He emphasized the importance of restoring safety, prosperity, and a better quality of life for all citizens.
