A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday evening at Cook's Corner in Trabuco Canyon, southern California, as a mass shooting took place, resulting in at least four fatalities, including the shooter.
The shooting occurred at approximately 7 p.m., with the exact motive behind the attack yet to be disclosed.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, while six others were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. Of the six injured, five were suffering from gunshot wounds. The identity of the shooter has not been revealed, and they were also declared deceased at the scene.
During the response to the incident, an "officer-involved shooting" transpired, as confirmed by the sheriff's office. Fortunately, no deputies sustained any injuries during this encounter.
