Watch: Man Opens Fire At A San Francisco Jewish Center, Leaving Onlookers Paralyzed With Fear

A terrifying incident occurred in San Francisco when a man opened fire on a Jewish Center, leaving many onlookers terrified as they saw what was unfolding.

Fox News reports that San Francisco Police arrested a man who allegedly went into a Jewish Center during study hours and began to open fire.

Video within the facility shows the man enter, take out his gun, and fire off several rounds. Police later identified him as 51-year-old Dmitri Mishin.

Rabbi Chanukov spoke about what happened in this incident and said:

"The action is terrifying. To have a stranger come in and start shooting in your place of worship, in your place where you should feel safe."

He also went on to say:

"Here comes a guy, I ask him, 'Do you speak Russian?' He said, 'Yes.' I asked him, come join us. I didn't hear, but some people said, he said, 'I'm going to show you something.'"

Police added that they believe Mishin was connected to another incident at approximately 8 p.m. on Tuesday when he allegedly entered a theater on Balboa Street and showed a handgun. No one was injured in that incident, either.

Rabbi Chanukov claims that what happened was a hate crime. Fox News reports that he said:

"I believe that may have been when he said, 'Say hello to Mossad for me,'" and "And somehow he was harming Mossad by scaring the Jews in America at this one synagogue. I am not clear. I think the person is deranged; the person is mentally unwell."'

This is sure to draw a lot of attention and anger towards the gunman, and rightfully so. The thing about a situation like this is that it makes everyone more unsafe, and no one wants to see that happen. It is a situation that puts people in fear and is also a scary way to live.

At the time of this writing, police had not released specific details about which crimes the suspect would be charged with. It is anticipated that he will face many charges for his alleged actions, though, and many feel that this is precisely what needs to happen to deter others from taking similar actions.

We should all give a hand to those who stepped up and spoke out about what happened in this situation. It could not have been easy for them to deal with, but they are doing good by speaking out about it.
