WATCH The Showdown In LA: Parental Rights Advocates Lock Horns With Far-Left Activists Over These Controversial School Policies

Parental rights advocates clashed with far-left LGBT activists on Tuesday in Los Angeles over policies implemented by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), which many argue are promoting an LGBT agenda among children.

Videos shared on social media captured the confrontations between the protesters and the police, resulting in several arrests. The demonstrators, many of whom carried signs and wore shirts that read "leave our kids alone," were part of a group called Leave Our Kids Alone.

The organization opposes what they perceive as the indoctrination, sexualization, and grooming of children in schools. One of their key demands is for schools to inform parents if their child is experiencing confusion regarding their gender.

However, California Attorney General Rob Bonta strongly opposes the idea of parental notification regarding a child's gender identity. Earlier this month, Bonta announced the initiation of a civil rights investigation against the Chino Valley Unified School District, which recently approved a parental-notification requirement.

The Los Angeles Police Department Public Information Office declared the protest an unlawful assembly and ordered the participants to disperse.

The demonstration and subsequent clashes occurred following the LAUSD Board of Education's unanimous approval of a resolution in June. The resolution advocates for LGBTQ+ lessons to be included in the curriculum of schools within the district.
