A man from Las Vegas with a rap sheet spanning 20 years is facing murder charges after police discovered the lifeless body of his girlfriend in their Nevada home.

According to reports, on Monday around 2:30 p.m., an individual entered the Southeast Area Command Center for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report a murder. The informant expressed fear that if anyone found out he had gone to the police station, he would be in danger.

The police report states that the informant informed authorities that two days prior, he overheard a heated argument between James Gina III and his girlfriend, Celina Rebholz.

According to KLAS-TV, the report reveals that Rebholz was heard calling Gina a pedophile, while it sounded like she was throwing objects. The witness reported hearing Gina threaten Rebholz, saying, "I'll put three in you if you don't shut up," referring to shooting her three times.

Gina's mother allegedly tried to intervene, but James threatened to shoot her if she didn't leave. The mother and the witness then left the house to go gambling for approximately three hours.

Upon their return, the witness told police that Gina appeared frantic and distraught. Gina led the witness to a bedroom where Rebholz lay naked on the floor with a gunshot wound to her chest. The witness stated that Rebholz was still alive but making wheezing and gurgling sounds.

The witness urged Gina to call an ambulance, but he refused. Later, the witness claimed to have received a text message from Gina stating, "She's gone, she's dead." The witness admitted to deleting the message, not wanting any evidence of the murder on his phone.

The witness informed police that Gina confessed to killing the woman he loved and hiding her body in the attic. Gina allegedly wanted to move the body due to the foul odor it was emitting. He asked the witness to drive him to the airport to rent a car since their vehicles were all inoperable.

The witness also warned police that Gina owned multiple firearms, had a violent temper, and used crystal meth.

Later that day, around 7:30 p.m., officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department went to the residence. During their search, they discovered Rebholz's lifeless body covered by a blanket in Gina's bedroom.

Gina was subsequently arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. Online jail records indicate that he is facing charges of open murder involving a deadly weapon and owning/possessing a gun as a prohibited person. The 50-year-old, known for his distinctive and extensive face tattoos, including eyeglasses, is being held without bail.

While Gina's mother claimed that her son accidentally shot Rebholz while "fiddling with his gun," the police report contradicts this statement, revealing that Rebholz was shot 12 times.

Gina has a lengthy criminal record dating back over two decades, according to the Las Vegas Journal-Review.

Gina's preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 5.
