The popular talk show "The Glenn Beck Program," known for its independent and uncensored content on BlazeTV, has seemingly been deplatformed by Apple Podcasts.
Not only has the show been prevented from airing its latest episode, but all previous podcasts have also been removed from the platform.
Glenn Beck, the host of the program and co-founder of Blaze Media, revealed that the Apple Podcasts Team informed him on Wednesday afternoon that his show had been removed due to an unspecified issue that needed to be resolved before it could be made available again. Beck expressed his suspicion that these "issues" with Apple and other platforms will continue to arise as his show gains more traction, suggesting that he may be hitting a nerve.
In a video addressing the situation, Beck expressed confusion about the basis for the removal, emphasizing that there had been no prior warning or strikes against his show. The episode that Apple appeared keen to prevent from reaching millions of listeners was titled "Trump vs. Biden: Which is the Crime Family?" Beck openly wondered if the content of this particular episode, which delves into the question of which political family is more corrupt, played a role in the apparent censorship by Apple. He assured his audience that the show would still be available on BlazeTV.
Steve Deace, a host on BlazeTV, expressed concern over the situation, tweeting, "Oh my. Even if it is a glitch, these 'glitches' only seem to go one way." This sentiment reflects a growing sentiment among conservatives that their voices are being disproportionately silenced by tech giants.
In response to this latest attempt to silence a conservative host, TheBlaze, the media company behind the show, announced a special offer of $30 off BlazeTV subscriptions using the code "WILLNOTBECENSORED." This move aims to rally support and demonstrate a commitment to free speech.
