Former Kanye West publicist, Trevian Kutti, has been named in the latest indictment against former President Donald Trump, filed by Democrats in Fulton County, Georgia.
The indictment, brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, accuses Kutti of attempting to pressure Georgia election worker Ruby Freeman to report election fraud.
Kutti was not previously known to be associated with Trump or his campaign. The indictment alleges that Kutti was sent to Georgia by pastor Stephen Cliffgard Lee, although there is no evidence of coordination between the two.
It is worth noting that Kutti spoke to the election worker in the presence of police personnel, suggesting that she may not have believed her actions were illegal.
The exact timeline of Kutti's work for Kanye West remains unclear. In a statement from a spokesperson for West in 2021, it was stated that Kutti was not associated with West or any of his enterprises during the time in question.
However, the indictment against Trump faced a setback on Monday when someone posted the official charges online before the grand jury had concluded deliberations. Although the post was later deleted, it had already gone viral, leading to accusations that the District Attorney's office was attempting to pressure or influence the jury, potentially denying Trump his right to due process.
In response to these developments, many, including Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, are urging Trump to file for the immediate dismissal of the charges and the grand jury investigation.
