Former President Donald Trump expressed his condolences to the victims of the devastating wildfires in Maui, which have tragically claimed the lives of at least 80 Americans and caused billions in damage.

In a heartfelt message, Trump extended his sympathy to the residents of the Hawaiian island and called on the Biden administration to provide more assistance.

"I would like to express my sympathy and warmest regards to the people of Hawaii, and specifically all of those who have been so gravely and irreparably hurt by the tragedy of the wildfires in Maui," Trump began.

Trump criticized the lack of preparedness by the government, stating, "The sad thing is, it should never have happened. Our government was not prepared, and very importantly, the aftermath is going very poorly with the governor of the island wanting to blame it on global warming."

Furthermore, Trump took aim at President Joe Biden's response to the crisis. When asked about the situation, Biden simply responded with a smile and a "no comment."

In response to the disaster, Biden later released a statement through X, announcing that $700 would be provided to those affected by the wildfires.

"Hopefully everyone will be able to pull together so that a horrible situation does not get even worse," Trump continued.

Addressing the families impacted by the wildfires, Trump expressed his love and sympathy, acknowledging that nothing can ever replace their loved ones.

However, he assured them that they will always have the memories and the enduring love of their lost ones surrounding and embracing them. Trump emphasized the importance of carrying forward their legacy together, concluding with a heartfelt message: "I love you all very much."
