Contempt And Condescension: These Two Popular CNN Hosts Deride Voters Who Reject Media's Narrative

CNN hosts Dana Bash and John King expressed disdain for voters who challenge the media's narrative, revealing a condescending attitude towards those who hold different viewpoints.

King's recent visit to Iowa to speak with Trump supporters highlighted his implicit criticism of these voters, as he acknowledged that they do not watch or trust CNN. He characterized them as replacing optimism with "Trump's grievances" and their "disdain of big government" with "Trump's distrust of just about everything."

The voters King interviewed expressed their opposition to the Trump prosecutions, their disapproval of U.S. involvement in the Ukraine War through continuous military aid, and their belief that President Joe Biden may be involved in corruption.

Following the segment on "Inside Politics," Bash expressed her sadness towards these voters, suggesting that they believe in conspiracy theories. She remarked on the prevalence of these conspiratorial thoughts among Republicans who consume conservative media, which she claimed does not provide them with the complete truth.

King took the opportunity to take a jab at both the voters and Tucker Carlson, likening their opinions on Ukraine and Biden to the opening of an old Tucker Carlson show. However, he did offer some praise for the individuals he met, acknowledging their involvement in charitable activities and their religious practices. Nevertheless, he highlighted their beliefs as being contrary to established facts and their lack of trust in the media.

Interestingly, CNN's fact-checking machine, reporter Daniel Dale, has published 12 fact-checks recently, with only one being critical of Biden. The remaining 11 fact-checks targeted Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and even sought to defend Hunter Biden's plea deal. This raises questions about CNN's own commitment to providing unbiased information.

Bash's criticism of Republican voters for believing media outlets that do not "tell them the whole truth" is ironic, considering CNN's own track record. While she fails to specify which version of the "truth" is being referred to, CNN has been guilty of the same offense. At least conservative media outlets are transparent about their perspective.
