WATCH: Australian Pedophile Ring Exposed, FBI Investigation Claims Lives Of Two Agents In High-Stakes Operation

Nineteen men in Australia have been arrested and charged with a total of 138 offenses related to an international pedophile ring, following an investigation by the American FBI.

The arrests were announced on Tuesday, with officials stating that the men were part of a technologically advanced online child abuse network operating across the country. Australian Federal Police Commander Helen Schneider described the network as "sophisticated" and praised the collaborative efforts between Australian and American law enforcement agencies.

FBI Legal Attach Nitiana Mann expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the investigation, stating, "We are proud of our longstanding relationship with the Australian Federal Police resulting in 19 Australian men facing criminal prosecution as a result of our collaborative investigation."

Two of the suspects have already been convicted and sentenced, with one receiving a 15-year sentence in the Australian Capital Territory and the other receiving a five-year sentence in New South Wales. The circumstances of the victims have not been disclosed, but it is known that thirteen children were rescued during the operation.

The Australian investigation was initiated following a tragic incident in which two FBI agents, Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger, lost their lives. The agents were killed in 2021 during an attempt to execute a search warrant for child pornography in Florida. The suspect, David Lee Huber, fired a rifle through the door, fatally shooting the agents and injuring three others before taking his own life.

Former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker, who served in the agency's Miami Division, paid tribute to Alfin and Schwartzenberger, describing them as "the best the FBI has to offer." Parker, who has written opinion pieces for Fox News Digital, emphasized the importance of focusing on investigations like this, stating, "There is so much scandal these days, but this is the work the FBI should be focusing on. I will not allow her legacy to be tainted by those who are ruining the reputation of the entire FBI."

Mann underscored the significance of international cooperation in combating such crimes, acknowledging the complexity and anonymity of online platforms used by these criminal networks. She emphasized that no single agency or country can effectively address these threats alone. Mann stated, "As we continue to build bridges through collaboration and teamwork, we can ensure the good guys win and the bad guys lose."
