Charlamagne Tha God, host of "The Breakfast Club" radio show, and his crew expressed their disbelief and criticism of the inconclusive White House cocaine investigation during a recent episode.
They ridiculed the notion that investigators were unable to identify a suspect.
Charlamagne questioned the lack of camera footage in the White House, stating, "Do you mean to tell me that theres a room in the White House with no video cameras? Aint no damn way. Knock it off." His skepticism was echoed by co-host DJ Envy, who called it "BS."
Chico Bean, a guest on the show, argued that it was a double standard for someone who entered the Biden White House to get away with cocaine abuse while African Americans are incarcerated for the same offense. He demanded, "Let my people out of jail."
The Secret Service recently announced the conclusion of its investigation, stating that they were unable to single out a person of interest who could have brought the illegal substance into the White House. They cited insufficient DNA evidence for investigative comparisons and the lack of video surveillance in the area where the cocaine was found.
Tezlyn Figaro, a correspondent for "The Breakfast Club," reported on the lack of findings, stating, "Theyre not able to identify the responsible person. They said that this cocaine was in an area that they did not have any video surveillance."
Charlamagne and his crew expressed their disbelief at this explanation, with Charlamagne stating, "Yeah right." He also mentioned other incidents involving drugs found on White House premises, including instances of weed being discovered in 2022.
Bean emphasized the unfairness of people getting away with drug-related incidents in the White House while others have been incarcerated for similar offenses in Washington, D.C. He expressed his frustration, saying, "Thats crazy, man. That is ridiculous."
Figaro mentioned reports that the substance was found in a "vestibule" area of the building where the cameras did not have the best angle. DJ Envy speculated that someone who knew about the camera angle may have been involved.
