Shocking Autopsy Reveals The REAL Cause Of Lisa Marie Presley's Death

According to a report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Lisa Marie Presley's cause of death has been determined as a "sequelae of small bowel obstruction" resulting from bariatric weight loss surgery.

The autopsy report, conducted by Dr. Juan Carillo, a medical examiner in California, revealed that there was no evidence of injury or foul play, and the manner of death was deemed natural.

The blockage in Presley's intestines was caused by scar tissue that had developed after a bariatric surgery she had undergone several years ago. Bariatric surgery is a medical procedure aimed at helping patients lose weight when other methods, such as diet and exercise, have been unsuccessful. It is primarily used to address health issues associated with high body fat percentage, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and high cholesterol.

Blood tests conducted during the autopsy showed that Presley had "therapeutic" levels of oxycodone in her system at the time of her death. This finding is consistent with other reports leading up to her passing, which indicated that she had been taking opioids.

Additionally, Presley had been following an extreme weight loss regimen, shedding 40-50 pounds in just six weeks leading up to the Golden Globes on January 10, 2023.

Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the late Elvis and Priscilla Presley, passed away on January 12 of this year. Initially reported as cardiac arrest, the cause of death has now been attributed to complications from the bowel obstruction resulting from her previous weight loss surgery. Presley was 54 years old at the time of her death.

In an interview at the Golden Globes, just days before her passing, Presley reportedly appeared to slur her words and relied on a friend for support while speaking to reporters. She had also complained of abdominal pain on the morning of her death and was taking weight loss medication at the time.

Bariatric surgery involves the creation of a small pouch that bypasses the stomach and attaches to the intestine. This process effectively reduces the size of the stomach, limiting the amount of food that can be consumed and the number of calories absorbed by the body. While the surgery can be beneficial for weight loss, it carries risks and potential complications, including intestinal blockage, stomach or intestinal perforation, leakage of stomach acids, and internal bleeding.

The findings from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's report shed light on the circumstances surrounding Lisa Marie Presley's tragic passing, highlighting the potential risks associated with bariatric weight loss surgery.
