Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is one such candidate who wants to legalize psychedelics. Then, he says hell build healing centers for addicts.
The Presidential candidate says that addiction should be cheap and easy to treat, and it will be with his healing centers. During an interview, Kennedy said he relates to what he describes as a national crisis because of his past.
According to Breitbart, By building a network of healing centers for rehabilitation in rural areas, he said, he would hope to create places where our American children can go and find themselves and come back. Kennedy repeated his pledge to legalize marijuana at the federal level while letting states make their laws. States can legalize it, but users and sellers risk federal charges and cannot obtain banking services.
Kennedy also states that he wants to legalize psychedelic drugs. LSD and mushrooms are both examples of psychedelics. Initially, he was firmly against this idea. However, now hes quickly changed his tune. Kennedy says hes seen multiple research studies proving that some people have benefited from treatment using these drugs, which is why he wants them legal.
He made this announcement in a town hall meeting that ran for 90 minutes. The gathering included him taking questions from voters in Chicago. He also took questions from voters in South Carolina and New Hampshire. These are two early primary states, making it essential for every potential candidate to reach out to them if they want to get a head start. However, those two primary states dont always mean a win.
