Kamala Harris Just Told Democrats To Be 'Ruthless' With Their New Power And Hillary Went Even Further

Former Vice President Kamala Harris urged Democrats to "be ruthless" with their new midterm power and hold President Donald Trump's administration accountable, according to Fox News.

Harris wrote on X that voters are "done with the corruption, incompetence, and callousness coming from the White House and the capitulation of Republican leaders." She congratulated Democratic candidates and volunteers who helped the party win federal, state and local races.

"Now, the work begins to actually deliver results," Harris wrote. She said Democrats "must be ruthless in using every lever of power to deliver economic relief for working families and hold this administration accountable for their deep-seated corruption."

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also framed the midterms as a call for accountability. "Last night, Americans made a clear call for accountability and affordability," she wrote on X.

"Crimes against our people and our Constitution must be answered for," Clinton continued. She added, "The post-Trump era begins now."

Former President Bill Clinton struck a softer tone in a statement. He said Democrats should help families with the cost of living, protect health care, end "senseless wars and tariffs," get the national debt under control and hold those in power accountable.

"Last night's victory gives us an opportunity and a responsibility to rebuild trust," Bill Clinton said. "We should do so with humility and determination, and an open hand, not a clenched fist, to those who didn't vote for our candidates."

The White House and the Republican National Committee did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's requests for comment. Harris has also posted a reaction video of herself saying "hallelujah" after Democrats regained control of Congress.
