A field organizer for far-left Michigan Democratic congressional candidate William Lawrence was caught on undercover video justifying the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk and saying, sometimes you get what you f*cking get.
.
According to The Post Millennial, Lawrencea former member of the Democratic Socialists of America and a co-founder of the far-left Sunrise Movementis running in Michigans 7th Congressional District while attempting to brand himself as a mainstream progressive. In undercover footage obtained by the outlet, Lawrence field organizer Adrian Slear, wearing a Decolonize Palestine shirt, argued that Kirks September 2025 assassination was effectively brought on by Kirk himself.
Someone gets shot with a gun: violence bad, Slear told the undercover journalist in a mocking tone before adding, Whoever did that bad, and claiming that prior context doesnt matter, thats what we do. He continued, Thats what we did with Charlie Kirk. I mean, umm, it is bad that Charlie Kirk got killed, for our politics and for [unintelligible] people.
Slear then recounted how he dismisses concerns from his own parents about political violence in America. So its like, my parents, like when I talk to them about it, its like, Well violence is not good. We shouldnt be allowing it, Slear said.
Im like yes, but the violence happens. It happens. Sorry it happens, the Lawrence campaign organizer continued. This is a world full of f*cking violence and Charlie Kirk incited a lot of violence and he encouraged a lot of violence. And sometimes you get what you f*cking get.
Kirk was shot in the neck and killed on September 10, 2025, while debating and speaking with students at Utah Valley University, and his accused killer, Tyler Robinson, is facing capital punishment after admitting to the murder in multiple contexts. Although Lawrence allowed his formal Democratic Socialists of America membership to lapse during the Democratic primary in Michigans 7th District, critics say his organizers callous remarks reflect a broader pattern on the far left of excusing or celebrating Kirks assassination.
