A 70-year-old Florida attorney is facing federal scrutiny and a 2026 trial date after allegedly threatening to shoot Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during a visit to a Mississippi gun store.
The attorney, identified as Lisa White, was arrested following an encounter that raised immediate red flags for both the gun store staff and federal authorities, according to Breitbart. She is scheduled to stand trial on November 16, 2026, on charges stemming from statements she allegedly made while attempting to purchase a firearm and inquiring about how to defeat protective gear worn by federal agents.
White reportedly came to the attention of the Department of Homeland Security after she entered a Mississippi firearms retailer in late September and sought to buy a gun while asking pointed questions about the effectiveness of body armor. On Wednesday, WLOX reported that her line of questioning and stated motivations prompted concern from an employee, who later recounted the exchange to investigators.
The store worker claimed White said that ICE agents were becoming crazy and wild and that she needed a gun because she was a protester and activist. In an era when left-wing activism has too often blurred into open hostility toward law enforcement, the alleged comments fit a troubling pattern of escalating rhetoric against federal officers simply doing their jobs.
As the conversation continued, White allegedly shifted from general complaints to specific questions about how to overcome protective vests and gear. She began asking questions about body armor and the employee talked with her, trying to ascertain what she actually intended, and White then allegedly said she assumed if the agents were wearing body armor she would have to shoot them in the head, shoulder, or leg.
The employee, recognizing the potential threat, warned her that such actions would likely end with her staring down the barrel of a gun. The worker said he cautioned that she would probably find herself at gunpoint if she tried to do what she was describing, and she allegedly replied, If I have to die, I have to die.
Hoodline New Orleans noted that Homeland Security Investigations agents later visited the gun store, interviewed witnesses, and subsequently arrested White. Her case underscores why conservatives consistently argue that the problem is not law-abiding gun owners or the Second Amendment, but individuals who telegraph violent intent and must be dealt with firmly under existing law.
