Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) escalated his attacks on President Donald Trump on Sunday, declaring on national television that Donald Trump is a crook and hes got to go while openly entertaining the prospect of yet another impeachment effort.
Appearing on NBCs Meet the Press, Warnock was pressed by host Kristen Welker on whether Democrats, should they regain control of the House of Representatives, ought to prioritize a third impeachment of President Trump. According to Breitbart, Welker asked, Should Democrats move to impeach President Trump for a third time? Where do you stand on this, senator? Do you believe Democrats should impeach President Trump should they win back the House of Representatives?
Warnock responded by branding the Trump administration the most corrupt administration in American history and insisting, the people who are enabling him, they all have to be held accountable. He continued, And so we ought to have the investigations to get to the truth behind this At the same time, we have to walk and chew gum at the same time.
Attempting to link his partisan attacks to kitchen-table concerns, Warnock claimed, Americans are being crushed under these costs, which are connected to his corruption, and then pivoted to a familiar progressive wish list. And so we we have to end this war. Stop the tariffs, fix health care, and then lay out for the American people a vision that embraces all of us, he said, offering no acknowledgment of how Democrat-led spending and regulation have fueled inflation.
Warnock further alleged, His corruption is crushing the American people. The American people are watching themselves get poorer and poorer while Donald Trump, his family, his friends are getting richer and richer. He added, Hes four billion richer than he was when he entered office. And meanwhile, people are crushed under these gas prices, crushed under the price of groceries, a narrative that conveniently ignores the role of Biden-era energy restrictions and expansive federal intervention in driving up everyday costs.
