Jerry Seinfeld once again outmaneuvered radical anti-Israel agitators, turning their attempted disruption of his Chicago show into a public embarrassment for the protesters and a moment of levity for the crowd.
According to Gateway Pundit, the veteran comedian was performing at the Chicago Theatre on Friday when a group of activists attempted to hijack the event with political grandstanding. Viral video shows the hecklers shouting accusations that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and claiming that U.S. taxpayers are funding the deaths of civilians, a familiar script from the anti-Israel left.
One woman yelled, Twenty-two thousand Palestinians who are children now are killed with our taxpayer money, and youre making jokes! as she tried to shame Seinfeld mid-performance. Rather than retreat, Seinfeld responded with characteristic wit, dancing on stage and mocking the protesters with exaggerated sarcasm.
He jokingly labeled himself racist and declared, Its a genocide. Im into it, exposing the absurdity of their accusations by parroting them back. Seinfeld further ridiculed the stunt by quipping that he would find out how much the protesters paid for their tickets and send the money directly to Israel.
As security escorted the agitators from the theater, the audiences patience had clearly worn thin, with one attendee shouting, Rough her up! in a moment that underscored how little sympathy these disruptions command outside activist circles. The protester, angry, humorless, and seemingly uninterested in facts, came off as a caricature of the modern professional protestermore interested in attention and Main Character theatrics than in honest debate or basic respect for others time.
