President Donald Trump clarified that while Nidal Hasan will face a firing squad for the 2009 Fort Hood massacre, the U.S. military will not broadcast the execution to the public.
According to Just The News, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth had earlier stated that President Trump approved Hasans execution and that it would be livestreamed, prompting intense public debate. The case involves Nidal Hasan, a radicalized U.S. Army major whose attack at Fort Hood exposed the deadly consequences of political correctness and lax counterterrorism vigilance on American soil.
Nidal Malik Hasan, a former U.S. Army Major turned traitor, is a very bad and evil man, who killed 13 people, including a pregnant soldier, who died, along with her unborn son, and injured, very seriously, 32 more innocent people, Trump posted on Truth Social. The Presidents language underscored a long-standing conservative insistence on calling jihadist terror by its name and imposing the harshest penalties on those who betray their oath in service of extremist ideology.
That said, the execution may be viewed in person by the immediate families of the victims, if they so choose. They deserve to witness JUSTICE! he said. By limiting access to the execution to victims families, Trump balanced a desire for strong deterrence with respect for the sensibilities of Americans who do not wish to see state-imposed death turned into public spectacle.
With all of that being said, I think streaming the execution for all to see might have been a strong deterrent for the World to witness how America deals with Terrorists and SCUM like Hasan but, many very good and well meaning people would rather not watch him die, through streaming, or through any other visual device Trump also said. His remarks reflect a broader conservative view that justice must be both firm and morally grounded, demonstrating American resolve against terrorism without embracing the voyeurism and desensitization that often accompany modern media culture.
