Democrat Sen.
Jon Ossoff of Georgia is once again turning to the entertainment elite of liberal Hollywood to fuel his re-election bid, raising fresh questions about where his political loyalties truly lie.
According to Gateway Pundit, Ossoff is returning to California just weeks after a similar September swing with his ally, Texas Democrat James Talarico, underscoring how deeply national Democrats rely on coastal donors rather than the voters they claim to represent. Breitbart News reports that Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) is heading back to Hollywood for yet another fundraiser, this one headed by Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman and United Talent Agency CEO David Kramer.
The event is slated for October 19 in the wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood of Hancock Park, drawing a roster of industry insiders and power brokers just 15 days before Election Day. As Politico noted, Other listed co-hosts include prominent Hollywood attorney Tom Hoberman, whose clients have included Elizabeth Taylor and Faye Dunaway; Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, the CEO of the Gotham Group management company; and filmmaker Grant Heslov, whose producing credits include Argo and Good Night, and Good Luck. It is scheduled for 15 days before Election Day.
Access to the fundraiser starts at $250 and climbs to a steep $7,000, a price point that effectively reserves influence for the wealthy liberal donor class. The get-in price for the event in the tony LA enclave is $250, with the cost plateauing at $7,000. Several of the co-hosts are prominent Democratic donors; Glickman and his wife, Christy Callahan, have held dozens of fundraisers at their Hancock Park home, including events for Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Raphael Warnock.
Republican challenger Mike Collins seized on the announcement, offering what many conservatives see as the obvious rejoinder to Ossoffs bi-coastal campaign strategy. If Ossoff truly intends to serve Georgia families rather than Hollywood interests, voters may reasonably ask why he keeps crossing the country to court California money instead of earning the trustand supportof the people back home.
