Watch: Hollywoods Favorite Liberal Punching Bag Fires Back: Carolla Blames Dems For Jobs Fleeing The Industry

Comedian and podcast host Adam Carolla is calling out Hollywood progressives, singling out actor Mark Ruffalo for demanding continued Democrat control even as California and the entertainment industry crumble around them.

According to Gateway Pundit, Carolla used a recent podcast episode to highlight what he sees as the obvious disconnect between Hollywoods left-wing rhetoric and the harsh reality on the ground in Los Angeles and across California. He argued that Democrats have dominated state and local politics for years, yet jobs in film and television have evaporated under the weight of high taxes, suffocating regulation, and soft-on-crime policies that have turned once-great cities into cautionary tales.

Quoting Ruffalos call to take the country back, Carolla blasted the actor for wanting to hand it to the same Democrats who destroyed Los Angeles. Ruffalo, you live in Los Angeles. Its one of the shittiest, least efficiently run cities in the union and you live in it and all the jobs are gone, driven out by your people and taxes and red tape, Carolla said, before pointedly asking, Do you see that? Can you not think clearly?

Carolla went on to describe a city overrun by homelessness and graffiti, where everything is way too expensive, gas is seven bucks a gallon, and your business is gone. He insisted that Ruffalo, you of all people have to at least be a little agnostic about a Democrat majority versus Republicans, adding, You live in a shit town where everythings too expensive and theres no more jobs in this industry that Im in, and thats all under the purview of Democrats.

In another recent segment, Carolla recounted how a friend who worked as an editor effectively retired early because there is no longer steady work for people like him in Hollywood. For Carolla and many conservatives, this is not an accident but the predictable outcome of one-party Democrat rule in California, where leftists in the industry are simply captured by this backwards ideology that casts anything to the right of Bernie Sanders as evil and, as Carollas critique suggests, they cant even see it.
