President Joe Biden, now 83, appeared at a Planned Parenthood gala in Delaware to accept an award from the nations largest abortion provider, an organization responsible each year for ending the lives of hundreds of thousands of unborn children.
According to Breitbart, Biden attended the Planned Parenthood of Delaware Chocolate and Champagne Gala, where he was presented with the Sonia Schorr Sloan Service Award, named for an abortion activist and longtime Biden ally. The award was handed to him by his wife, former first lady Jill Biden, as attendees cheered and applauded the 46th presidents decades-long alignment with the abortion lobby.
This is an incredible honor, Biden told the crowd, crediting Sloan for his rise in national politics and insisting he would not have become a U.S. senator or president if it werent for Sonny Sloan. In a largely meandering address, he attacked the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade, the 1973 ruling that fabricated a constitutional right to abortion and was finally reversed in 2022.
Biden said Sloan was among the first people who came to mind when the Dobbs decision was released, claiming, She would have felt devastated, and filled with anger and astonishment. He added that she wasnt afraid and would not have spent a single moment wringing her hands, casting her as a model for continued abortion activism.
Following the Dobbs decision, as president, I tried to do what I knew Sonny would have done, Biden said, boasting of his administrations aggressive response. We took action. We signed executive orders to protect access to reproductive health care, including emergency medical care.
During Bidens tenure in the White House, Planned Parenthood reported a record 434,450 unborn babies killed in abortions in 2023 and 2024. At the same time, the group secured unprecedented taxpayer support, pulling in $832 million in government grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements a $39.8 million jump from its previous report.
Biden closed by rallying the enthusiastic pro-abortion crowd with a warning that womens political clout would soon be felt at the ballot box. You have no idea how powerful women are in this country, he said. You are about to find out.
The evenings celebration of abortion politics came from a president whose legacy includes an FDA-enabled mail-order abortion regime that allows chemical abortion pills to circulate widely, including into the hands of abusers, with minimal safeguards. Notably absent from Bidens remarks was any acknowledgment of the estimated 63 million unborn babies lost to abortion between Roe in 1973 and Dobbs in 2022 or the countless additional lives ended since, even as the abortion industry and its political allies continue to demand more taxpayer funding and fewer protections for the unborn.
