A Kansas man is in custody after allegedly issuing death threats against conservative commentator Ben Shapiro and others in a series of antisemitic online posts.
According to the New York Post, 29-year-old Korby Allen Strube was arrested in Florida following a barrage of social media messages that included a sinister countdown to Yom Kippur and suggestions that Shapiro would be targeted. Among the posts were messages reading 51 days and 52 days left, which, police records indicated, also contained violent threats against President Trump and podcast host Joe Rogan.
Authorities have not yet clarified why the Kansas native was in Florida at the time of his arrest, though he was taken into custody in Palm Beach County, where Shapiro resides with his wife and children. The case underscores the growing climate of hostility and antisemitism directed at high-profile conservatives, who increasingly face threats for exercising their free speech rights.
The timing of the arrest coincided with Shapiros remarks to CBN News in an upcoming interview, in which he described the constant security concerns that have shadowed his rise as a leading conservative voice. Ive had 24/7 security for the last 10 years, said 42-year-old Shapiro, noting that security guards accompany him and his family everywhere they go, every day.
For many on the right, the episode is another reminder that political and cultural disagreements are too often escalating into intimidation and violence rather than debate. As law enforcement investigates Strubes alleged threats, conservatives will likely continue to question whether enough is being done to protect public figures who challenge progressive orthodoxy and defend traditional American values.
