Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren is escalating her criticism of the Department of Homeland Security under President Donald Trumps second administration, demanding sweeping removals of illegal immigrants rather than symbolic fights with progressive Democrats.
According to Mediaite, Lahren used her program to press DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin to focus less on headline-grabbing investigations and more on delivering the mass deportations many conservatives believe were promised. While she said she would welcome action against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) over long-standing allegations about her marital history, Lahren argued that deporting millions of illegal immigrants would do far more to energize the Republican base and fulfill the America First mandate.
Nothing would make me happier than seeing Ilhan Omar deported for immigration fraud, Lahren said, referencing the claim that Omar lied about marrying her brother, which DHS is currently probing. However, what I would have much rather heard from our DHS Secretary is how hes going to arrest and deport 10 million illegal aliens let in under the Biden Administration. Thats what I want to hear from our DHS secretary.
Lahren faulted Mullin for spending time in friendly interviews with conservative influencers instead of outlining an aggressive enforcement strategy. I dont want to hear him answering questions from influencers to own the libs. Owning the libs is so fun, I enjoy it too, she said, before stressing that entertainment value is no substitute for serious policy.
What I enjoy more is 10 million illegal aliens being deported, because that was the promise of mass deportations. If they want to do an investigation, do an investigation. But at the end of the day, thats not whats going to get people out to vote, is if Ilhan Omar married her brother, she continued, underscoring her belief that Republican voters expect tangible results on border security.
For Lahren, the political calculus is straightforward: GOP turnout hinges on delivering on immigration pledges, not social-media theatrics. Whats going to get people out to vote for Republicans is Promises made, promises kept. Mass deportations. If Ilhan and 10 million others go, okay. But if its just Ilhan because you want to make a point to own the libs on X, Im sorry, thats not enough for me.
She later amplified the message on X, writing that she wanted MASS DEPORTATIONS not this corny crap. Her comments followed Mullins appearance with right-wing host Benny Johnson, where the secretary asserted, we know that [Omar] married her brother to try to bring him to the United States.
Mullin also disclosed at the GOP midterm convention that DHS is examining whether Omar and her brother engaged in some illegal activity. If you lied about certain things about your application, theres no expiration to that, he added, signaling that any proven fraud could still carry consequences years later.
Omar has denied the allegations, but the controversy has become a touchstone for conservatives frustrated with what they see as a two-tiered system of immigration enforcement. For Lahren, however, the Omar case is secondary to what she views as a broader failure to remove the millions and millions who entered the country illegally during Joe Bidens tenure.
This latest broadside continues a pattern of Lahren chastising Trumps DHS from the right for not moving fast or forcefully enough. In July, she mocked the department for flexing about deporting 356,389 people so far in fiscal year 2026, saying, That doesnt sound like mass deportations to me, in any sense of the word.
She has also warned that corporate interests must not be allowed to dilute the administrations resolve on enforcement. I thought this administration stood for America First and the American worker. As a Trump voter, I know I dont give one sh*t if big corporations, if they maybe risk losing their serf labor class to rightful deportations, she vented, adding, All of this, quite frankly, is infuriating.
As fall approaches and the campaign season intensifies, Lahrens impatience reflects a broader sentiment among grassroots conservatives who expect President Trumps second administration to deliver far more than incremental gains. For those voters, the benchmark is not investigations or viral clips, but whether DHS under Mullin will finally carry out the large-scale deportations they were promised.
