Robert F. Kennedy Jr. used his appearance at the GOP midterm convention to chart his break with the modern Democratic Party and explain why his political journey has brought him closer to President Donald Trump and Republican voters.
According to Gateway Pundit, Kennedy devoted much of his address to exposing what he described as the partys abandonment of democratic norms in the 2024 cycle, drawing some of the nights loudest applause with a pointed critique of Kamala Harris and the Democrat establishment. He reminded the audience how party leaders manipulated the process to protect their own power while preaching democracy to everyone else.
KENNEDY: They excluded me from the debates, they canceled the primaries. The Democratic Party changed the rules to make sure I could not win and neither could the other people who were running as Democrats, no matter how many votes we got.
And for the first time in history, they canceled their own convention. No voter ever cast a primary ballot for Kamala Harris.
No elected delegate was ever consulted. The party of no kings simply anointed a queen!
[Audience bursts out into cheers and applause] Handpicked by secretive party elites who nobody even knows who they were.
Kennedys remarks underscored what many conservatives have long argued: that Democrat leaders talk about empowering voters while centralizing control in the hands of a few unaccountable insiders. His charge that Harris was handpicked by secretive party elites resonated with a Republican base that has watched the left smear others as authoritarian while operating like a closed monarchy themselves.
Every single thing RFK Jr. said here is completely true, which is why its so funny. The Democrats are exactly what they accuse others of being.
