Hunter Biden is now openly flirting with the idea of a presidential run, telling a billionaire radio host that with the right backing he may have to enter the race.
During an interview set to air Sunday on WABCs Cats Roundtable, Biden told host John Catsimatidis, If I get your endorsement, I may have to [run for president]. The things I care most about are the 50 million Americans that are still suffering with their addictions, as reported by Gateway Pundit. He framed his potential candidacy around addiction policy, attempting to recast his own troubled past as a qualification rather than a liability.
Pressed on what would make him fit for the Oval Office, the 56-year-old convicted felon responded in sweeping constitutional terms. Here is my qualification for becoming president, if you believe in the Constitution of the United States of America that you swear to uphold and protect. I want the next president to commit to one thing: to adhering to the rule of law, Biden said, a statement that will strike many conservatives as ironic given his own record.
Even as he dangled the prospect of a campaign, Biden praised the Democratic Partys leadership class, calling it an incredible bench. He added, I love Gavin Newsom, personally, signaling continued loyalty to the same progressive establishment that has presided over rising crime, inflation, and cultural upheaval.
Bidens personal history remains a major obstacle to any serious national bid, no matter how aggressively the media attempts to rehabilitate him. In 2014, the Navy Reserve discharged Biden after a positive cocaine test, a stark contrast to the standards expected of those who serve.
While his father was vice president and afterward, Biden sat on the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, reportedly collecting tens of thousands of dollars a month despite no clear expertise in the sector. This month he told the Dopey podcast those residual checks are why he never went broke through years of crack use, and claimed Joe Biden once arrived at a Washington drug den with a Secret Service motorcade.
Bidens now-infamous laptop, recovered in 2019, documented his foreign business dealings, emails, and a disturbing obsession with drugs and prostitutes. In 2024, a jury convicted him on felony gun charges, and he faced subsequent tax charges that further underscored the pattern of misconduct.
Later that year, his father issued a sweeping pardon that ended the criminal cases, a move that fueled conservative concerns about a two-tiered justice system and political favoritism. Biden has since embarked on a podcast tour, where he said he is 48.6 percent gay and lashed out at top Democrats, calling Chuck Schumer a piece of sh-t who f-cked my dad over, and attacking Nancy Pelosi for helping force Joe Biden off the 2024 ticket, remarks that reveal deep fractures inside the party now entertaining his presidential ambitions.
