Canadian officials lectured that Our two countries have real trade issues that impact our people, and urged citizens, Instead of responding to stunts and distractions, Canadians must stay focused on what we can control: making our economy strong and affordable at home and using our leverage to fight tariffs abroad. On the American Left, however, the reaction has been even more overwrought, despite coming from the same activists who eagerly replaced Columbus Day with Indigenous People's Day and pressured companies to erase long-standing icons like Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben, and Land O Lakes.

Yet beyond the political class and progressive echo chambers, most Americans really don't care. And I mean, they really don't.
