President Trump has tapped Ben Moss to serve as Assistant to the President and White House Staff Secretary, further solidifying a senior West Wing team that reflects his emphasis on loyalty, competence, and conservative credentials.
According to Gateway Pundit, Moss will assume the powerful gatekeeping role on September 2, succeeding Will Scharf, who has been elevated to serve as the Presidents new White House Counsel. David Warrington, the current White House Counsel, will step down effective September 1, marking a carefully sequenced transition at the top of the administrations legal and policy apparatus.
I am pleased to announce that, effective September 2nd, Ben Moss will become Assistant to the President and White House Staff Secretary, replacing our new White House Counsel, Will Scharf, President Trump said in a statement, underscoring his confidence in both men. Will did a truly outstanding job as Staff Secretary, and will no doubt be an amazing White House Counsel. Ben has been tremendous as Deputy Staff Secretary and, before that, as Policy Director to the Vice President.
Ben started in Government as General Counsel to JD Vance in the United States Senate, after serving as a Law Clerk to a Highly Respected Federal Appeals Court Judge, and a lawyer in private practice, the President noted, highlighting Mosss solid legal pedigree and experience within the conservative movement. He was a top student at the University of Chicago Law School, one of the best Law Schools in the Country and, more importantly, he is a Patriot who loves our beautiful Country.
