Maryland Democrat Makes Haunting Declaration About 'White Women'

Montgomery County Council member Kristin Mink, a Democrat and former public school teacher, has recently come under scrutiny for her controversial remarks against Muslim children and White supremacists while also having a track record of offensive comments towards White women and Zionist Jews, according to a recent discovery by Fox News Digital.

Elected in December to represent District 5, Mink found herself in hot water after her comments during a school board meeting on Tuesday evening, where she alleged that Muslim children opposing an LGBTQ+ curriculum were "on the same side... as White supremacists."

The Council member explained, "This issue has unfortunately does put... some Muslim families on the same side of an issue as White supremacists and outright bigots. I would not put you in the same category as those folks, although, you know, it's complicated because they're falling on the same side of this particular issue."

Before this incident, Mink had already caused a stir in 2019 when she resigned from a left-wing organization, Lights for Liberty, that she co-founded, citing her discomfort with what she saw as the dominance of White feminism in the group.

Mink conveyed her concern about the organization's leadership in her resignation email. She wrote, "This is very difficult for me to write I am also not OK with the state of our organization... I would be more than glad to come back on board if Black and Brown voices are given a seat at the executive table."

Mink further disapproves of the executive-level representation within the organization, stating, "Having... White women representing us is going to add to the credibility issue, and doesn't elevate the right voices." Her correspondence also emphasized the need for intersectional and multi-racial representation.

The council member continued her critique of the organization, expressing disappointment that White women had not relinquished control to people of color. She was explicit about her concerns with what she described as "the White feminism, gaslighting, and weaponized fragility" within the group.

Drawing on her experience, she stated, "It's ironic, of course, that in an arena focused on dismantling systemic racism and confronting White supremacy, both can be found in some of the organizations ostensibly doing the work. [Folks] in those spaces should know better, right?"

Mink's divisive remarks also extended to her Twitter account, where she discussed White people and racial issues. For instance, she tweeted, "'Healing' and 'unity' have for so long meant disregarding the harms done to [Black, Indigenous, People of Color] for the comfort of White people."

She also criticized children's puzzles for their lack of racial diversity and expressed her discomfort with the term "patriot," claiming it was used as a synonym for a White person.

In her tweets, Mink has supported the idea that White people should act as a human shield in confrontations between Black people and police. She thanked "organizers who teach White people the logistics of how to use their privilege in the field."

When asked for comment on these issues, neither Lights for Liberty nor Mink responded immediately.

Besides her divisive comments on racial issues, Mink has demonstrated a history of controversial remarks on Israel. She has targeted Trump officials like Jared Kushner's aide Avi Berkowitz and Trump's real estate lawyer Jason Greenblatt, whom she labeled "Zionist Jews."

Mink expressed her criticism: "Our new Middle East peace envoy is Jared Kushner's 'coffee boy.' Really. This position was previously held by Trump's real estate lawyer [Jason Greenblatt]. Both are Zionist Jews." These controversial remarks by Mink continue to draw widespread criticism and raise questions about her representation in the Montgomery County Council.
